L'orage (The Storm) breaks away from the conventional notion of architectural projection as a spectacle and instead focuses on the subtle and often overlooked details. Situated amidst the lush surroundings of the French Institute of Tokyo, this mapping installation draws inspiration from the shadows cast by the surrounding trees and plants. It invites viewers to explore the intricate nuances that may elude casual observation.

By delicately layering computer-generated shadows upon the existing ones, the garden is transformed into a captivating nocturnal realm, teeming with the presence of fireflies, birds, and anthropomorphic insects. This immersive experience allows for a deeper connection with the natural environment, revealing the hidden magic that lies within.
